Cities and land
Your company can own buildings in more than one city. The whole estate runs on one clock and shares one bank account.
Cities
| City | Character | Rents | Building costs | Demand | Taxes | Energy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Port Calder | Harbour city on reclaimed land; deep soft ground | 100 % | 100 % | 100 % | 100 % | 100 % |
| Harrowgate | The inland capital: old money, high rents, dear builders, granite close under the streets | 135 % | 125 % | 115 % | 120 % | 115 % |
| Saltmere | A quiet harbour town on marshland: cheap land and labour, few tenants | 75 % | 80 % | 85 % | 85 % | 90 % |
Each city has its own tenant market and its own weather.
Buying land
Open Estate (⌥⌘K). Under Land for sale each plot shows its frontage, how deep you may dig and its price:
| Plot | City | Frontage | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ferry Lane Corner | Port Calder | 32 m | $900,000 |
| Crown Yard | Harrowgate | 44 m | $2,400,000 |
| Harbour Row | Saltmere | 56 m | $450,000 |
Buy pays for the plot, with a foundation ready to build on. A purchase cannot be undone.
Switching buildings
The Estate panel lists your properties with their floors, tenants, people, class and the last 24 hours' result. Go takes you there. The undo history starts afresh in each building.
